OGRE wrapper for Blitz

I starting to make OGRE wrapper for BlitzBasic. Want to know opinions about need in that.. :) Thats is first mini-demo: http://blitz.pp.ru/file/BlitzOGRE.zip Necessary to copy files in userlibs catalog to userlibs catalog of blitz. Warning!!! Don't run him in blitz-shell. In this time works only exe compiling files. |
| ||
what is the use of a wrapper for a only-render-engine in a game system? :) |
| ||
dosnt work here :( i get a bunch of missing dll or include errors |
| ||
Planned to realize maximum amount of functions. So that will be Game System. :) Necessary to copy files in userlibs catalog to userlibs catalog of blitz. |
| ||
looks cool. but why does the code have to be compiled to work? |
| ||
I would go for Nebula Device 2 instead. http://www.radonlabs.de/nebula.html They released version 2 recently and after I had seen some screenshots and read the reference-manual my first impression was... Wow! |
| ||
I repacked demo: http://blitz.pp.ru/file/BlitzOGRE.zip |
| ||
Agree with sweenie. Although perhaps for Vivid's sake I shouldn't, but I do. |
| ||
I'm still getting Userlib not found after copying contents of the userlib folder. |
| ||
hmm even packing all OGRE functions wouldn't it make a full usable function. You would be forced to add a lot of stuff yourself. It is a good rendering engine but thats all OGRE is. |
| ||
certainly... this will. work is already leading |
| ||
Sweenie: Agreed. I've been fiddling with it a bit now, and it's just as good as Nebula 1 was. |
| ||
ok i got it to work now and it works pretty well. Im not sure if you can wrap ogre(license agreement) but if you can this would be a sweet addition to Blitz3d's chest of libraries. |
| ||
You can wrap OGRE, it uses the LGPL license. |
| ||
It would sure be nice to have access to vertex shading. |
| ||
is this project still active? |
| ||
>is this project still active? yes |
| ||
What are the terms of the LGPL liscence? |
| ||
You can use it for whatever you want, even closed-source commercial applications. You only have to release the source of the parts of the LGPL library that you have modified (if any). |
| ||
New version for testing... http://blitz.pp.ru/file/BlitzGR.rar Enjoy! |
| ||
eeck slow download speeds :( if you want I can host this file on one of my servers I also get a corrupt zip and there looks like only 2 dll files I dont know if you have more files you wanted in there? |
| ||
I also pack new version to "zip" archive... http://blitz.pp.ru/file/BlitzGR.zip http://blitz.pp.ru/file/BlitzGR.rar (not corrupt...) |
| ||
weird I tried downloading the rar again and it's still corrupt on my end :( probebly my machine I've been having some problems with it. Arkon i sent you an email to the email address in your profile. I tested the current release and it looks awesome keep up the good work. |
| ||
testet the rar, no problem. perhaps your winrar is outdatet? ( not beta of winrar 3.4 ) but the source does nothing beside opening a black window that runs into a timeout *when compiling the source myself ...* [edit] ok the compile problem solved ... seems to be a problem in visual blitz |
| ||
Works perfectly. Nice shadows! |
| ||
Dreamora: nope you have to compile it to an exe, in his first post he states not to run it in blitz btu to compile it because it dosnt work. |
| ||
Works perfectly converter a b3d or x 2 mesh?? thanks Mongia |
| ||
there is an exporter for milkshape3d |
| ||
. |
| ||
hey Arkon, by the whats happening with BasicGL..is it still a live or ... |
| ||
I wonder where's the blitzogre.zip file gone ? :) |
