This is a nice GUI system... ran a little slow for my taste but it's simple to use and looks amazing. Nice work mouss38, |
| ||
does it have an editor for creating windows/huds ?? |
| ||
You know that one that does create HUDs confuses me (what else is new) as to how the HUD system works... Is in some sort of sprite? -RZ |
| ||
Ngui does not use any sprites... Test it you'll see :) |
| ||
wether or not sprites are used, I still hate hand coding UI :) |

nice Gui. SInce you are writing your own Fileselector, then how about to implement a flexible Preview Mode for all kinds of media? THis is exactly the thing the Windows FIleselector lacks of. Imagine a Leveleditor that would let you preview a Mesh before you load it into the map. |

Is this using 2D over 3D (it looks very much like it is)? If so, doesn't it suffer performance issues? I only ask because I have been trying to create a GUI for a 3D game using pure 3D (i.e. sprites and/or quads), and it seems almost impossible (unless you make it very limited). Writing one using 2D commands would be much easier, but I've avoided doing it because I'm told it is a baaaad idea. Any comments? |
