So as not to hijack JP's thread,
I was wondering if anyone knows what exactly happens with this code...

It obviously changes something because the view is skewed, rather similar to some CameraZoom effect...

The 800 high viewport seems to get squashed down to 600 lines. No clipping occurs sadly.

If CameraViewport clipped I would be the happiest man on this planet. Seriously.

Yup, I thought also at first that CameraViewport would act like its name suggests... no dice though. Just think how cool it would be IRL if you look through viewport and see the world squashed ;P

Seriously, how hard would it be to make it work so that it clips...
