Seems like easily doable standard stuff to be honest.

27,000 polys with a couple of surfaces doesn't even need clipping in Blitz.

* cars on animation paths driving around
no problem, pipleine in max or just waypoints...

* people on an animation path walking around
same

* text file with a mesh name, position and description
easily done.

Shame he can't post on here because he needs to show that he's got some of the code done before we can really help. Suffice to say it's all 100% doable from what I've heard.

I thought as much, but without any experience with this kind of thing, I'm not the one to say so.

The big question probably is, is Blitz the most time-efficient way to achieve this, as it sounds like time is short.

GW(Posted 2004) [#4]
I think so,
If I were faced with that kind of task, blitz would be my first choice by a long shot, or maybe DB if i were into that sort of thing.

I would have thought so. What other options are there (apart from DB)?

Dirk Krause(Posted 2004) [#6]
http://www.virtools.com/ for example.

Sounds like something you could knock up in an afternoon without breaking out in a sweat... Assuming all the media is ready to go.

The biggest problem would be all the clipping, although you might be able to get away with a: Not bothering, or b: Just splitting it up into chunks and let blitz deal with it.

There are programs out there like droplet to place waypoints etc.

So yeah... not too big a deal really.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the info. I've taken the plunge and I'm going to get cracking with it now.

Thanks Anthony for posting the message, much appreciated!
