Hey,
I am thinking of buying BlitzPlus to built 'solid' applications.
I was wondering if Blitz3D could do everything BlitzPlus is doing or ?

thank you.

Blitz3D can create 3D games.

BlitzPlus can create Windows-style appications.

Both can create 2D games.

How solid is solid? BlitzPlus is no replacement for VC or Delphi. Or VB, come to think of it. It's very nice for 2d games, but it's a bit light when it comes to applications.

Have been reading a lot since I posted this message, I think I've got the idea of the think now ! Thank you guys!

And I think, It seem perfectly possible to built a nice looking application with blitz+ that would be as professional as what we can find on the market ! :)

Yes, they have a nice marketing blurb for the product. Fact of the matter is, unless you write very small apps, B+ is really only a 2D upgrade. Sure, you can access the Win32 API direct for anything that you're missing, but that would end up being so much that you may as well just code it from B3D anyway.

If your really into application development and dont want to deal with VB or Delphi then you might check out pure basic also. I've not used B+ but I am settling in to B3D and i'm mighty impressed by it so far.
