How do i make bump maps. there was a demo somewhere but i cant find it now, also i remember the textures where all bright multi colours, What program do i need to make those?

What's exactly the proccess for simulate the bumpmapping??
Which's the reason because you need a normal map?

I thought of a way of create a normal map for nothing!

1. Use a grey scale texture.
2. Apply it to a terrain.
3. Read normals of terrain.
4. Write normal map.

There was another way, which involved a terrain, and 5 lights. But i'm not sure if blitz can do negative lights :)

But that sounds like an idea rob :)
