If I wanted to create a sparkly bright SUN in the sky... Would I have to use raycasting? I am hoping there is a far easier way. -Rook |

http://www.griffinpark.com/studio/flash/TeddySayHello.html Ps: Make a sprite. Position it in the sky where you want the sun. Make it add blend. Stick a texture on it that fades from white in the center to black at the edges. |

While I am a fan of John Lennon I wasn't exactly asking about the tune! Thanks though! -RZ |

I saw a sun on a crash bandicoot game for ps2. It was a sprite. It had two unique properties: The sun would shine over the top of all the objects in the scene as long as there was a direct line of vision between the camera and the sun The suns rays (the sprite) would rotate in the direction you turned. |

maybe check out "lense flair", I guess there's something in the code archives. Additionally you can use a linepick to determine if you have to hide/unhide the suns corona, depending on its visibility. Here comes the sun it's allright Da - dadada dadada dadada da da da da :°) |
