2nd camera & viewport

Dear all,

I have created a robotic arm hierarchy model in max4.2 and I have attached a camera to the end, so when the arm moves the camera will see through it's end at various objects. I have attached the 2nd camera to the tip of the arm.I am having some trouble getting the camera to point in the correct direction ie. away from the rest of the arm. Is there a tutorial on this somewhere?

Interesting, I used to work in robotics myself.

I assume you want the camera to point away from the arm, at 90 degrees to the wrist joint.

If this is the case, load in your model and create a pivot which is in the direction the camera should be facing in the default position, then just create the camera and pointentity the camera to that pivot.
