anyone know how to create texture map under the character like u can see in Warcraft III game. and also, the texture will deform base on the terrain or mesh surface like it was projected from above to the ground

I think that Sswift sells one such system :) You are talking about "projected shadows" here... I think that there are few free examples called "towels" (because they act like wet towels thrown to ground) or something in the code archives.

i think this one was not a shadow - just a texture mapping onto the ground (or maybe that shadow system use the same method?)

SSwift's system lets you use your own pre-generated texture maps too, if you want. I believe it cannot project shadows onto a terrain right out of the box, but I think some users have modified it to project shadows onto a towel, thus solving that little problem.

I think it comes with the shadow system cause in his demo you can switch to that mode.
