I am an extreme newbie to blitz but can see its a great language. I am also new to 3d programming. Is it possible to take a personal picture and use it as a facial texture and get a resonable image of the person on a 3d model? |
| ||
jep. Try with a cube. Create a cube with your face as texture. 512x512 should do for a perfectly sharp picture. |

Thanks for the info.. appreciatequick response. I guess my question would be is it possible to wrap the image onto the head model of the head demonstration or one that would be close to get a close similarity to the person in 3d? |

Ultimate Unwrap 3d - from the link page ($$$?) but very good - try the demo. Tattoo - possibly even better £25.00 3D programme with UV mapping. Or siomply entitytexture from blitz, but that won't give the correct placment as there are no uvs. Also try MilkShape (again from B3d links page). IPete2. |

Here's a link to how to do it in Cinema 4D. You want a good result you'll have to take the time to do it right. Should work in other modelers just as well but you will have to figure which tool corresponds to which. http://www.wesart.com/free/weshead/index.html Doggie |

cool tutorial, Doggie. |

I appreciate all the help... I have a long way to go to understand it all just wish I had an extra 24 hours in the day to play... But this will definitely give me a good place to start. Thanks, again |

Rod49, Okay go to www.blitzcoder.com Find the Showcase Area. Look for Simulations - with images. Find the Diving Sim (its next to Cog Wheel - trust me just do this!) When you get to the web page with the diving sim on, go down and look for Nikkita - There's a little tool just below this which allows you to map faces (pictures) onto a mesh and export in VRML - convert this in Milkshape or smething. Regards, IPete2. |
