EXE much slower than code?

Has anyone come across this? I have created a game which is very fast in the Blitz environment but at least 10 times slower as an exe. I have turned off debugging, and it doesn't make any difference. Is there something I'm missing? Tony D |

Are you debugging in windowed mode and now runnning in fullscreen? With Vsync turned on/off, you can have different performance results. You can avoid this by using an advanced rendering method. (e.g tweening). It still sounds weird because Vsync problems usually make fullscreen a lot faster, not slower. |

Thanks for the replies - I'm running both in Blitz and executable in Windowed mode. Eole - does reinstalling fix this? |

Odd behaviour, however I've always found windowed mode to be less favourable for games, so unless it's something simple with few objects/artifacts on screen moving then I'd switch to fullscreen. |
