Hey, the guy i'm working with has created a humanoid model and i'm trying to unwrap it. But i keep running into problems such as the texture resolution is too small, or parts aren't unwrapped correctly. Any very good tuturials on this. I've read joe hockings one, but its a very simple model that is touches on. This model has 1400 polys. I'm very stuck, any help??

Try unwrapping it with Wings 3d, it might save you a lot of trouble since it has a quite interesting automatic unwrapper which actually does a good job.
