Large object lens-flare

Hi. I want to add in some lens flare for large passing stars in Omega Wing, but all current examples use the center as the spark-point and really look out of place when used with objects of largish scales. Any ideas? |

Do you mean actual lens flare, or a corona/halo around the actual object? I don't quite get what you mean about lensflare looking out of place. |

If a camera catches the sun, you get circular spots - lens flare. Now imagine that the sun is 20x closer to the earth - the flare on the lens would be all the more magnified. The current code I'm playing with (to no avail I might add) is the lens flare from the code archives. But since the lens flare is 'comming' from the very center of the sun the flare looks out of place. I want it to give a flare effect (and glow, but thats already catered for) which looks more fitting. |
