Ok, before i go compiling all my 3D objects to a single mesh.

i use Milkshape for my "200 < poly" meshes, sometimes i leave them with bones and seperate groups.

Are these groups going to be treated as a single surface when loaded into blitz? (note: these are anim-meshes)

or are they treated as seperate mesh parented together with seperate surfaces, I couldnt work out the format of the .b3d file nor the .x :(

Maybe ask this in Other Tools, and specify in the title that the question is about Milkshape.

I would think with the bones moving each bone would be treated as a separate surface. If you hide the bones then no surface. as for your mesh I think as long as it is using a single texture and isn't split up then one surface. not sure though. use the count surfaces command
