It's out. Registration keys will be mailed within a few days. I am pretty hungover, so I don't think I'll get many done today.

Shagwana(Posted 2003) [#2]
When can we expect a demo? - scrap that - seen it on the webby.

Bot Builder(Posted 2003) [#3]
Hmm. You MAY have got yourself another purchase if the price is low enough+the demo has sufficient help files. If I can easily get the hang of the demo then I'll seriously consider buying. (Downloading demo now) Once again, looks beutiful.

Ice9(Posted 2003) [#4]
There's a demo on the website. I played with it. Seems like
a decent editor and pretty easy to use. I did get it give
me a "bank cannot be freed error" when I tried to carve one
of the cathedral shapes that I vertexed edited to a whacky form.

Questions (From a registered V2 users)

1. How much is the upgrade from version 2?
2. What does it do that Quill3D doesnt?

Cheers

CyBeRGoth(Posted 2003) [#6]
Impressive

The new interface is a lot faster than the old one and it looks like you are using OpenGL as the renderer?

Liked it a lot, I have some questions tho.

How easy is it to import a level, or just meshes into it? like if i had some levels or objects i had done in max ould it be easy to import them into a level id made in CS3?

What formats can it import?

JoshK(Posted 2003) [#7]
The SDK, available on the site, includes a max exporter for making new prefabs.

Importation is not yet supported, but will be.

This is a free upgrade from v2, but feel free to send me money.

As for Quill3D, you'll just have to try the demo of this and see what you think.

CopperCircle(Posted 2003) [#8]
The demo is very good the only problem i had was that the menus leave blocks over the perspective viewport until its refreshed, also i saw that theres a max exporter for making prefabs, I don`t have max is there a way to convert a .3ds/.x into a .csm prefab?
It would also be nice if some of the edit menu commands were available on a right mouse button menu, so that you could select an object with the left button and then open a small menu with the right to edit properties and edit mode.

report registration code bug Cartography Shop 3
I need to put the registration code
avery time that I restart the program
to be able to save ???

LostCargo(Posted 2003) [#11]
will it export to b3d with a parent child tree?

andy_mc(Posted 2003) [#12]
it's just more proof that with enough people and skills, you could use blitz to make a AAA title. Take half life 2 for example, that's made in blitz. You wouldn't think it would ya?

oh hang on, it's not april 1st is it?

Rimmsy(Posted 2003) [#13]
what registration code? I bought cshop2 but changed my email address. It used to be nyklani@..., now it's matthew.griffiths@...

Demo is very good. Looking forward to saving stuff, though.

Joshua,

I bought my copy via ShareIt (Not via DB), and so therefore cannot get an upgrade serial number from them. Please will you send me my new serial number to rob@... or rob.pearmain@... as soon as you can, this tool is so good.
