Hi,

I'm starting to code a PIU (Pump it Up!) game... Has anyone tried this before?

How would you implement the 3D dancers, via 3D objects or premade videos?

Thanks for your points of view!

Greets!

Assuming that this game has nothing to do with bicycle maintenance, I would say that your best bet would be to use 3d models for the dancers. Otherwise your file size would be huge.

Jaime,

I agree with Anthony, models are going to be the best way to achive this.

Also you could look around the Internet for BVH files (motion capture files), then use these in Poser 3 (free with - oh I've forgotten which magazine - this month - July Issue -) to create keyframes of the dances. Export these and 'transition' (using the B3D command to transition between 2 model poses).

This might give you some excellent results if you can find the BVH files in the first place.

Hope this is of some use.

regards,

IPete2.

Here's a site that has a lot of interesting motion capture data in many formats:

They've got a few rather odd dancing motions, as well as your standard walks, runs, ducks, and jumps.
