I'd like to make my own lightmapping into my editor. Is someone know a tutorial in blitz on how to make lightmapping?

There are a few versions of Yet Another Lightmapper (YAL) in the code archives I believe.

Oh yes thank you! I didn't see that

Just for reference on how good YAL works, I think Lightbulb is built around YAL.

Skitchy(Posted 2003) [#5]
Yes it is. YAL is some fantastic lightmapping code and I'd like to personally thank everybody who contributed to it. If you want to speed up your dev time then you might want to consider LightBulb though. I originally wrote it 'cos it can be REALLY time consuming doing your lightmaps with the old 'change the numbers in the code and recompile again' method.
But if you want to write your own, then YAL is a good starting point.
:)

yes, I saw his code. I m very impressed!! But in the code archive there is only a beta version! Do you know if he continues to make his lightmap?

I've posted a new YAL version (1.4):
http://www.blitzbasic.co.nz/codearcs/codearcs.php?code=514

I've generated about 15 different levels with it without any problems, so I think that's it's an stable version.

I encourage people to try the YAL code before buying any 3rd party programs.

So do I

What about Portable Lightmapper. ;)
