| What software combination do you lot use to create your Blitz games? Taking into account the game world, modelling, texturing, 2d artwork, skinning, animation and all the rest of it - what is the best combination? ie. Maya + Worldcraft + MSPaint (Bad example but YKWIM!) |

| Milkshape -for modelling and as an interface to CharacterFX CharacterFX - Rigging and Animatiuon Quill3d - Level Building and some modelling (still learning) PaintShop - 2d Art Texture Maker - Textures Cubasis - Recording and Mixing wav files for later conversion to mp3. |

| Look in "Other Tools." That's where this question should go but more to the point this question has been answered many times (the latest is "low budget game dev;" an older thread I started is "art workflow" on the third page.) Some of my fave tools not mentioned are Wings3D, GIMP, and Ultimate Unwrap (okay, so that last one has been mentioned but it bears repeating.) |

| Certainly NOT the best. I am still learning, and still saving up. So at the moment, I use: 3D Canvas (not very well!) Worldcraft (not very well!) Maplet (free version) (Still learning) Decorator (still learning) PhotoShop 6 Cakewalk and CuBase(for music) Music2000 (For sound effects) MSPaint Amabilis Photo Studio Special Edition GIMP Various Free/Share utilities for little touches and other effects DarkMatter (Yeah, I know. But I can't make my own models for toffee :) ) Iris Texture Creator |
