hey!

It's now Friday and I know at the end of last week I promised a .B3D Max exporter for you by today, well it's gonna be a little late. The thing is it's gonna need some documentation and bug fixing. The actual exporting is almost there, so be patient people, it'll be with you shortly.

To reinterate this is what it will do:

- Tri stripping
- Multitexturing
- Vertex lighting
- Skin hierachy animation (with weighted vertices data)
- Mesh hierachy animation
- A mix of the two above

Basically what ever .B3D will handle the exprter will export.

cu,
Mike

Looking forward to seeing it

Skin hierachy animation

What is this ?

Will it support skeletal animation created with biped ?

Hi Smiff,
Sorry , thats kinda what I meant :) So to answer your question, yep it definately will handle biped animation. If there is a case where this is an impossibility, a plugin which andy wrote will be bundled with the pack which will allow you to convert Biped to standard mesh bones that will the export.

Shouldn't need this though hopefully :)

Oh ye of little faith - I'm looking forwards to seeing all three . Work like this should be rewarded as it would be a major tool in the production pipeline.
Rob's current Blitz Exporter is sheer class can't wait for the next one !
