Sprite problems

Gday all.

Don't know if this is the right place for this question.

I am using a few sprites as jet thrusters & have run into a problem with them. I have created them in The Gimp & exported them as PNG & TGA as to keep the alpha channel. When i use them in Blitz3d, across the top of the sprite there is a line that appears & is extremely pronounced when i use ENTITYBLEND 3. I have tried to clean them up & do whatever i can with Gimp but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this problem?

Have you tried clamping the UV coords?

Just for the sake of knowledge: a more radical approach would be not to let any visible texel reach the texture's edges (when in a painting application).
