hi, i'm trying to make a scenary for a game, a desert, without a great detail.

the scenary must have like 100km x 100km.

i try with loadterrain().

otrher option is make a tittles mesh, and put one after other to create the ilusion of a big scenary.

for the moment,i use createplane(), but is very flat :)

any advice?

You can tile Terrains too!
I'm sure there's plenty of discussions on this around, be wary of the Wrap-around effect for Blitz Terrains, though as the edges will all line up at Y=0

I'm not sure whethr it's best to use Terrains or Meshes, but certainly tiling is the way to go :)

CreatePlane() will always make a flat surface.That is why it is called CreatePlane()In Blitz3d use a heightmap image and then you will see your terrain come to life.

Either that or just use CreateTerrain()

Oh also, you state the terrain is supposed to represent 100km x 100km, but what kind of things are going to be in the scenery? What kind of resolution do you want your textures to be?
Depending on what welse you are gonna use and the sizes of those will determine the real scale. Otherwise scale is entirely arbitrary :)

Use nice high rez textures for your terrain.It makes a diffrence believe me.
