Texture not covering a very large 3ds model

I have a VERY large 3ds model and a really nice texture, but whenever i apply the texture it only turns the model a green color. Any suggestions?

Sounds like the 3ds model has no UV mapping.

Indeed. Try for example Fragmotion, it has a pretty good UV-Mapper built in. or L1thunwrap 1.3. Of course UltimateUnwrap3D, from the maker of LIthunwrap, is the best of them, but not entirely for free. I'd suggest to learn a bit about UV-Mapping from some online tutorials, since useful UV-Mapping is really specialsts work.

We are, of course, assuming you know what UV Mapping is. If not, I or probably several others on this forum will be happy to explain it.

it is one of this cases i think..
1) UV map set doesnt exist
2) if UV eventually does exist, you applying texture on to one of map channel not used by UV
3) You applying your texture on to map layer not supported by B3D (you have 2 UV map layers in B3D)
