I did something silly. Is there any way I can de-pack a pak file? |
| ||
Doesn't 7-Zip decompress Pak files? If not, try a search online for "Pak Explorer" I'm sure there must be others around too! |
| ||
I packed using the Terapak utility...then deleted all my originals. DUH! So I need a way of getting my objects back! |

I don't have any experience with PakMaker to be honest, but if general .Pak uncompressor applications wont work, then I can suggest, that if you can write out a modified version of your app, which, on loading the media from within the Pak file, can then export it and save it as a bitmap or mesh or as pure data from a bank I presume? |
| ||
I tried that...all my PNG files lost their alpha channel. |

I haven't got any PAK files to test, but maybe you can try this one? http://www.geocities.com/leventbbayar/tools.htm Ow, and you can try to rename your .PAK file to .ZIP and extract it. |

If it's my olk Pak maker, as mentioned above, you simply need to call PAK("Filename.ext") on each of the files you want to extract from within the program and not call PakClean() at the end. That will leave the TMPFilename.ext files there for you to retrieve. Hope that helps. |

Cheers Lee! That did the trick. |

Speaking of which TeraBit do you still have your old PakMaker? If so.. can you re-upload it? I wish to try it. |
