I'm sure this has been asked before - but I can't find the thread...

Does Blitz3d run on Vista and Windows 7? If so, how?

When I run my proggies on Windows 7, I get 'Unable to create 3D scene'

Blitz3D does run on Vista. Not sure if/how it works under 7. Maybe there is some kind of compatibility setting that you can try?

I thought it worked with Vista - I am sure people have said so.

What resolution are you setting for the app. and is it fullscreen or windowed?

Yes. Blitz3D runs under Vista and under Windows 7 without problems. Windowed or otherwise. As usual, all you need is the latest driver for your graphics card.

Thanks all for your responses. I checked the driver for Windows 7, and it seems there isnt one available for it. Hardware manager just says 'Standard VGA Graphics Adapter'.

I'll attempt it again once I have a driver.

that would be the default fall-back driver that comes with Windows -- which means no hardware 3D acceleration and such.

If you can't find a dedicated Windows 7 driver for your card, you should be able to use the Vista drivers as well.
