Could someone please give me an example of a moving platform that a player can stand on. Do you have to child the player to the platform? Code would be very very appreciated

Normally, that is not possible. However, you could try this code archive entry by SimonH:

I would write code that detects if the player is on the platform, and then move the player the same way the platform is moving.

hi, based on the example given by Simonh i do some modifications, but i'm not so pleased about the behavior of the player over the plataforms, it speedup his movement. Try and see if it helps you.

"Sausagedonkey" - Nuclear Glory abandoned Blitz3D development - they even removed the original Blitz3D version.

Basically, they did what you did with Aliencodec - they sold out to The Games Creators.

EDIT:
Having said that, we badgered The Games Creators into handing back Blitztree 3D and Blitzgrass 3D. I wonder if I could badger Nuclear Glory into submission?

Of course, there is still Coldet:

Not sure if it is good for platforms or not though.

TGC bought out Aliencodec for the Treemagic and plantlife series, they were never after blitztree or any Blitz3D specific application. It just happened that those products 'fell' under the Aliencodec label and became property of the label holder, TGC. I had no control over what was to be kept or not, it was a one-way deal.

Onto topic - I didn't realize NukeGlory had sold the collision lib, well good for them none-the-less, its perhaps the best collision lib I've seen in any engine or development kit. If you can still get your hands on it I highly recommend it. I never start a blitz3d project without NukeCollision.
