I've been wondering how to make a beam that can be shot out of a gun. I'm thinking these are made from sprites that are programed to shoot horizontally but still face the camera. It's hard for me to discribe without visual refrence, but basically if you could pause at the time of fire and rotate the camera around the shot, you could see that the shot would turn to face you like a normal sprite would except it doesn't turn long-wise.
If anyone knows how this is done or even understands what I'm trying to say, I would much like to hear it.
