Hi, i need to know how to protect the files in my compiled programs...

because I have 3ds files, jgs, wavs, mp3, and more files, that I don't want them to be accesible for people who use my program..

how can i do that?

best regards..

Molebox. http://www.molebox.com/

And you might want to think about swapping your MP3's for OGG's, unless you particularly want to buy an expensive license to use MP3's.

Or you the excellent free Terabit Datapacker

And swap jpps to pngs, compress the wavs to ogg too.

Only problem with terabit packer is it uses temp files i believe, so anyone who knows where to look for the temp files can get your media. Or has this been rectified?

The only solution beside molebox that does not use tempfiles was packb3d and that one does not encrypt them, nor is it on sale anymore as AMT Lab vanished

There's the big debate about how important encrypting your files is anyway. It's not like most commercial games bother to. In my mind, the main reason to use datapacker (or whatever) is to ensure that the user won't accidentally muck up a file that the game uses.

And yeah, switch to ogg. There are plenty of free conversion tools available; if you don't have it already, download Audacity.
