In the 2d mode of blitz3d the pixel graphics that we create seem to have jaggered edges. Can anyone suggest what is the best way for creating graphics to be used in 2d mode. Can the edges be smoothened by any chance?

Not unless you use some sort of 2d in 3d system. Look for nsprite 2. This can do this. It can alos use alpha, real time scaling and rotation. Basically anything you can do with sprites :o)

The feature you're looking for is called 'antialiasing'. Blitz3D supports it via the' AntiAlias' command but that command only works on a few systems. On most peoples computers (including mine), using AntiAlias True does nothing.

mickybhai mentioned that they use 2d mode. Antialiasing doesn't apply there. Only way to improve visuals is to go with 2d in 3d, as Ross suggested.
