Is it possible to load and play a movie in B3D?

Yes - avi & mpeg movies. Look at the OpenMovie/CloseMovie/DrawMovie commands in blitz3d.

are the "movie" commands part of the original library or do you need an external directory or lib? B3D isn't registering them as commands.

Do you have the latest version of blitz3d, if not you can find it in the 'account' section of the website. Not sure if they were in the original install off the CD or as an update. But they are definitely part of blitz3d - not an external library.
