If it is a 3ds model then you can only animate it by rotating/scaling/translating the child meshes invididually.

If you want boned animation you will have to export your model from your 3d app in .b3d format.

If you want vertex morphing animation then you will have to export your model from your 3d app in .md2 format.

3ds and x models can have children but no bones. In blitz3d.

Do you know if your model already has animation?

If it does then you just animate it inside Blitz3D with the Animate command.

If it does not have animation - and you want to create animation for it - then your way forward is more complex. Many people use 3d applications, such as Milkshape, etc. Be prepared for a long journey - pack plenty of sweeties.

Animating with milkshape3d is pretty easy, you can learn the basics in no time...search for some ms3d animation tutorials.

Animating with milkshape3d is pretty easy

Personally, I'd rather pay someone to do my animations.

Well, i think its really easy to animate with milkshape. I learned it very fast with the help of some tutorials.
Have you got milkshape darktremor?

have just recently watched a tutorial on how to animate within pacemaker, it's quite intuitive:-

Yep puki I'd rather pay someone to do my animations too but if only I'm making something serious.
