Blitz3D Book Question

I looked through information about the book and the sample pages, however, it mentions items in the blitz3d\games folder, that frankly, are not there, so if the book misleads readers as to what is supposed to be in the install, but is not, what else is the book missing? (the dragon sample for example, doesn't exist in my Games folder, but the book talks about it) |

That sounds like a misprint. The games examples should be in the "Media" folder. You should find them in folders: "wing_ring", "bb3d_asteroids", "TunnelRun". Then there is more in the "samples" folder. There's a lot to look at in there eg. "AGore", "halo", "Hi-Toro", "mak", "Richard_Betson", "RobHutchinson". the dragon sample can be found in "samples\mak\dragon" |

Which book are we talking about here? |

How much else is a misprint in the new book? I am trying to bring myself to buying it, if it was only in PDF format, I would have probably already gotten it even with the missing / misprinted material. |

Ah, yes. The original Blitz3D did have a 'Games' folder - I've got the 3 games in there. My 'Media' folder just contains the Geometricks models - not sure if you get those now with the BRL download. I wouldn't call it a mis-print - it's more an oversight. There is more than one version of Blitz3D out there - it's purely the additional content that might be different. |
