Hey, folks,

I've recently got a new laptop due to my last one getting trashed, and as such, I've lost my Blitz3D install.

Now this has happened before, but it was quickly sorted by the Blitz boys who helped me out with a download link.

Unfortunately this time, no one is answering my e-mails - has support stopped for Blitz now?

Cheers,

Col.

"Boydy" has been away for a bit - he is back now but there will be a backlog of emails. Anything you re-email to us now will go to the bottom of the pile, so your first email will be dealt with sooner.

How come you don't just back it up? That way you don't have to bother BRL next time you need to reinstall.

:)

Cant you download if from the updates page in accounts?

GfK(Posted 2007) [#5]
Nope. Only updates, not the installer itself.

On the subject of backups -

DO NOT use CD-RW`s to back up!

I have put stuff on CD-RW's and they don't even work straight after I have burned them.
Use CD-R's , as they do not seem to have the same problems.
Or an external hard disk also works nicely.

CD-RWs work fine. You've probably bought crap ones from Netto or something.
Or an external hard disk also works nicely.
Or even an internal second hard drive.

I use a combination of a second internal hard drive, then onto DVD for archiving.

If you use an internal 2nd HDD, if the PSU blows up, theres a fire or some other disaster of the first order, both drives go down together...
;-)

Oh, are external hard drives fireproof then?

I shall go and buy one right away. ;)

Blitz123(Posted 2007) [#10]
They are if you put them in a fireproof box!
Thats why my old hard drive is a

"Quantum Fireball LCT 13gb"

And after 4 years the timing chip relly did blow up.It sits on my desk, complete with large hole(the drive not the desk!)

I have a HD that I use as a neat paperweight.
