Hi, have a craft which accelerates to max speed.

Trying to get a 'sound' to match the craft.

i.e. accelerating from a deep sound (slow) to a higher sound (fast).

I think i must change the frequency and constantly loop; but I'm getting clicking noises....

Any ideas or where to get a sound.

Thanks
Jim

This is the method I use. I generally get clicking noises when I'm trying to set the channelpitch too high though. I'm assuming your sound loops nicely so just play with the channelpitch max.

Do you have a sound editor? It sounds like your clip is not looped well. Think of a sine wave. In order to make a good loop you need to make the wave match at the beginning and the end. Sound Forge is pretty good at finding loop points. You can do it manually too.

If you want to do it well, find several samples at different pitches and blend them together according to acceleration.

Thanks Stevie & Mark,

Linked the channelpitch to the speed & rotation; works ok for now.

Downloaded Sound Forge & having a look now.
