Tried uses various 'Pixel Perfect' code snippets to make some 3d buttons and noticed that they only work with square images or images that are twice as wide as they are high. Once the width exceeds the height by more than double, the image blurs.

Is this just a limitation of using a Pixel Perfect technique?

I think this is blitz, or dx. Any textures that aren't a power of two, will be scaled to the nearest power of two. This might have a bearing on some sizes you choose.
