Hi all,

Is it possible for Decorator for painting building outside? I could paint texture inside a building only.

Thanks in advance.

To do so you would need to make the polygons double sided.

Normally (no pun intended) the polygons of a building you are in, face inward, so when viewed from outside they disappear.

You can make them double sided (in fact I think there is a key for that in Decorator, can't remember exactly now. The readme.txt file should tell you), but that would only make the outside look the same as the inside. Other than that, you would need to make a polygon representation of the outside and place that over the top of the 'Interior' mesh.

Yeah, Decorator can paint any poygons on the model, so if you can't paint the outside that means there isn't an outside. Are you using Maplet? Because if so, that would be why; when you're modeling with Maplet you aren't creating both sides of the wall, just the inside.

You can create a building with interior/exterior using Maplet by working in reverse. First carve out a big cubed area that will be like your "skybox" then use fill instead of carve to make a solid building. Carve your new building to get an interior. Bit more fiddly but it is possible.
