High quality sound not possible?

Blitz3D Forums/Blitz3D Beginners Area/High quality sound not possible?

Seeing as how we're slowly and surely being dragged into the 21st century, how likely is it that Blitz (be it 3D or MAX) will support audio of higher quality than 16 bit 44.1KHz?

I just started a project to find that 24bit audio is completely unsupported and anything over 44.1KHz at 16bit sounds awful.

Not exactly a deal-breaker, but it would be nice to support those folks who do have some high-end gear hooked up to their PC.

Having all this high-end gear sure as hell doesn't make my code of any higher quality ;)

Pr0n thumbs generate faster, I get to rant about Doom3's ridiculous 60fps limit (even in single-player), Photoshop loads in under 60 seconds, VMWare actually becomes quite usable (except for B3D because of no Direct3D support under VMWare), I get to watch high definition WMV's without dropping frames (something you can't really do on an Athy1900+GF5600) and let's not forget MAME (even if I have to overclock to over 2.7GHz to get certain games to run smoothly).
