Hi World Assembler's Author,

The new version v.12 (2005/5/21) could not run on my computer. Do I need to do somethings settings?

(AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200, 1.80 GHz, 512 MB RAM, Geforce FX-5200 128MB)

Thanks in advance.

Sammy, this thread belongs in the General Discussion forum.

This forum is for Blitz3D beginners.

Anyways, don't you think it would be best to contact the author directly?

Happy Sammy(Posted 2005) [#3]
Hi, WolRon

Yes, I agree with you. But, I cannot find the author's e-mail. That's why I post here.
Do you know the author's e-mail?
(I got "memory access violation" error)

Thanks in advance.

Post this in the correct forum. Or you won't get the authors attention probably :o)

Oh shame oh shame - so you never clicked the "make a donation" button? (followed by "number of donatoers: none" - sniff...) Because there you can see his email adress. And while you're there, make a donation, even if it's only a few bucks. The guy deserves it. (Releasing Freeware and asking for donation - such a nice chap):

Hi 'SAMMY WONG'

Did the old version work on your computer?

Try changing the screen size settings to 640, 480, maybe your graphics card cannot run a big screen size?

Is there a .ini file in the folder?

Happy Sammy(Posted 2005) [#8]
Hi Luke.H

I tried 640,480, but the problem still exists.
(A Startup black window appear and then follow by a "memory access violation" error message, then it exit to Windows XP)
Geforce Fx-5200 is a common 3D-graphics card. If I come across this problem, others may also do.

The "BWAsettings.ini" are:
[main]
set=1

[graphics]
width=1024
height=768
depth=32
mode=2

[editer]
fit_on=1
fit_size=400
show_warnings=1

Thanks in advance.
Sammy

Try deleting the ini file, that is from the old version

Hi Luke.H

It works! I could enter the program now.
Thanks a lot.
