Exporting Bryce 4 terrains

Blitz3D Forums/Blitz3D Beginners Area/Exporting Bryce 4 terrains

Can someone tell me how to export a terrain from Bryce 4 that will work with B3D?
I do not see any formats in the Export Menu that appear to be compatable with B3D.
I really can't afford to upgrade to Bryce 5. I understand Bryce 4 will work, I just don't know what to look for apparently.
Thanks for the help in advance.

There's no direct export method, but this tutorial should get you what you want.

Exactly where at this link is this covered?

I just don't see anything about Bryce export.

The article covers how to extract a skybox and a shaded terrain, with colormap and heightmap, out of Bryce, using manual techniques. I guess you didn't read the part where I said 'there's no direct export method.'

Right - I had a braib cramp.Sorry.

no direct way indeed, just copy the terrain heightmap in the terrain editor and paste it into your favorite photo editor program (ie photoshop, paintshoppro, etc)

Thanks morduun.

I works like a charm.
The help is greatly appreciated.

@ Jack: no worries; I wish there were a nice click-and-export option for Bryce but that's about as good as I've seen it get.

@gimpy1: glad it helped man :)
