Rantz,

You need to either hard wire stuff in place or use something which has the ability to place objects and name them in the map.

Gile[s] has this place and name ability. It also has a fantastic lightmap capability.

Some code exists in the Roman Baths demo which takes objects placed and named inside Gile[s] and attaches some particle systems to them, for torches. This is what you need I think.

Otherwise try the demo of HomeSpin or WorldSpin, alternatively write an editor for yourself, this will make levels for any game you are doing really quick and easy to develop. You will also have 'real' control over them in your own code too.

Good luck.

Unwrap 3d? Is that Ultimate Unwrap? Because, that has the ability to position items too. A bit fiddly, but still :o) I believe that world spin program is free :o)

Droplet is good. I have used that in the past.

You can go here: http://www.angelfire.com/folk/koffeehaus/dog.html

This editor is also pretty good but I haven't used it really just played around with the beta.

ADVICE: use the KISS rule... (Dress in bad makeup and turn it up loud... NONONONO!!!!) Keep it Simple Stupid... KISS...

Don't try to do too much. ; )

Well, we got it sorted out.
Last night i Programmed a 3d entity positioning system, and we just bought Gile[s].
(Rantz is one of my mates)
The project will be done tonight, and we'll upload a demo in a couple of days.
