NewB Question: When running Blitz3D in a window, how do I get program execution to continue when clicking on the window titlebar and dragging it? Without DoEvents is this possible? I would like to have an animation in the window continue while dragging it around the screen.

Thanks,

Greg Huntoon

You can't! All windows stop execution when being dragged - Blitz or otherwise.

Actually, I've had programs keep animating while being dragged. One of the selling points for Windows NT years ago was a demo like this which had 4 windows all animating something different and the ability to drag them about while animating. I've even done it in VB6, though the frame rate sinks way down. Something to do with multithreading I think.

Just hoping you could do the same in Blitz3d.

Long, Long ago, in the before time, this was a cinch on the Amiga.
