Help me guys, I need a freeware light mapping tool, I have downloaded light map maker software but I am unable to work on it, very short documentation is given, worst ui, slim shady software is not available on Google. Does there any good light mapping tool available? |

@RemiD Thanks for providing the huge list, can you please provide me the links to download Giles,as I heard a lot about it, is it a freeware tool. |

@Zethrax Thank you very much for providing the related links of all the lightmapping softwares. The last link which contains large list of 3d modellers are very useful for beginners to choose the right modelling tool according to their requirements. |

Btw, if you use bilinear filtering, i suggest to use 1 texel each 0.1unit or 1 texel each 0.125unit. With bilinear filtering activated, the shades look better with less texels per unit (with reason), but without bilinear filtering activated (or any other texture filtering) it looks better with more texels per unit. |
