Blitz3d does some REALLY CRAZY things without a root node
around the other nodes in your scene, PLEASE USE ONE!!!

Can you PLEASE add animation to this code?! O_O

Mikorians(Posted 2014) [#3]
Animation?!
This is a FIX for the export component of a standard kind of library function that is erroneous.
I don't even know (unexplored as yet) anything about blitz animations!
In fact- if you put this into the tile application (the very problem you were having), you'll find that when you export the b3d world file, that it will now magically work instead of crash!
Enjoy!

Thanks ALOT, Mikorians! :)

Hey Mikorians, I spoke too soon... This DID work, and I TRULY appreciate it (And I WILL add you to the credits), but for some reason, when I pick my gigantic terrain from above using CameraPick(), the lights basically "go out". For some reason, the lighting is wrong when being highlighted. Is there a way to add lights to Write_BB3D?

Thanks alot, Mikorians! :)

I didn't have a problem with lights in my short loader application.
I, once again, have not yet explored any extensions of that nature.
I was under the impression that a b3d file only contains parents, children, pivots, brushes, textures, geometry, and animation data.
I only draw this conclusion from my experience with x-files.
I have not had a need for much more than this since I use my own supplemental data file.

Nvm, I switched to saving in X, & it's working now.

Oh good!
I'm so glad there was an easy fix for you.
Let me know if I can provide further advise or assistance.
