Hi, i just found out that my rather old application which attached icons to executables doesn't work on Windows 7 anymore.

What's the best application/way you use for this purpose and for converting images into the Windows 7 icon format?

This makes me realise how much time i spend on OSX these days...

Would that old application have been "reshack", or does that still work?

Yup and nope.

I am using IcoFX for this. But I am still using Win XP. Under tools there is a resource editor.

Yes, it still works great, and is perfect for adding icons to an exe. I do recommend using 3.5.2 which was released at the end of last year.

@lo-tek
I'll have a look at this one.

@GaryV
It doesn't work here, the since years not updated 3.4.0 as well as the 3.5.2 beta. Sadly this is a pretty dead project.

This is an *OLD* issue that has been known about since Blitz Basic 2 (and probably earlier). For some reason, even though the ability has been requested dozens of times over the years (to add custom icons to your compiled exe's), it has never been added to any of the Blitz IDEs.

Oh well.
