How to unregister Filetype-Extension?

How can I unregister a filetype extension under mac os x? A tracker called Renoise has registered .mod as it's music format. Now I can't browser the BMX mod-folders anymore.

Hehe, I have had the same problem with Renoise. :D Use RCDefaultApp to change extensions.
