Hi :)

I've installed kubuntu 6.10 and I'm trying to get Max installed.

I've followed the various tutorials and installed the packages but I'm left with this error.

usr/bin/ld: warning: libstdc++.so.6, needed by /usr/lib/libGLU.so, may conflict with libstdc++.so.5
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x4b
X Error of failed request: GLXBadDrawable
Major opcode of failed request: 143 (GLX)
Minor opcode of failed request: 11 (X_GLXSwapBuffers)
Serial number of failed request: 55
Current serial number in output stream: 55
appstub.linux signal handler 11
Process complete

My laptop has a Intel i810 video card and I see thats what it's complaining about.

However, the OpenGL screen savers work nice and fast so I must be missing something for Max not to work.

Any help appreciated :)

Never mind, I got rid of Kubuntu and installed Linspire 5 and thanks to computercoder's how-to guide, it all works as it should :) God knows what's up with Kubuntu.
