Can anyone recommend me a cheap USB wifi card (11g) that works out of the box with Ubuntu Edgy Eft? Tried looking up Linux friendly cards but there's always conflicting reports out there. |

Try googling for "ubuntu wifi compatibility" |

NO! Oh, the hours i wasted with a belkin. saying that though, got pissed off and bought an expensive netgear WG511T (Atheros CS?) seems to work first time and well OOTB. Its PCMCIA though not usb Advice: stay away from most of the cheap and cheerful otherwise you wont be cheerful for long. |

Mine's a NetGear WG111T at the moment. I thought ng was a decent make but this thing is awful. No luck using it with Linux (which I can forgive), but the Windows drivers are rubbish and it keeps overheating and bombing out. |
