I would have thought it will be the same as Ubuntu since it's Ubuntu with a different window manager. Please see my post Ubuntu 6.06 LTS here for how to install:

Yep, undoubtedly the same as Ubuntu; missing dependencies to BlitzMax's dependencies should sort themselves out...
