Hi!

I wanted to try out Ubuntu so I downloaded the AMD64 Package.
I get an error message at the end of booting that the gui (x.org) could not be started. Allthough I selected 640x480 as resolution?!?

Is this because I have a x850xt-pe?
Should I try the normal 32 bit package instead?
Is there a DVD package?

I also made an empty fat32 partition:
Can I install it there and still run my win32 system, instead of using the live package?
Which solution is better for using bmx?

Ok, I installed it to HDD and get the same error message:

"Failed to start x-server"... *grmpf

Card: x850xt-pe PCI-E
Mem: 3 GB
CPU: AMD64 3500+

HHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEELP... :(

Edit: After hours of searching the net, i have successfully configured xserver to use "vesa" and I finally can boot, hurry!
