I've only just installed linux (ubuntu) just to check it out, really. When I first tried BlitzMax on it, RockOut was very slow, so I searched the Net for how to install the nvidia drivers and it seemed to work, RockOut ran smoothly. But since I reset (well, went into Windows and back) all graphical Blitz programs are completely blank and very choppy (i.e. the mouse pointer is shown and only updated a few times a second) for a few seconds, and then very slow when it finally does run. Also, I get this written to Output:

XLib: extension "XFree86-DRI" missing on display ":0,0".

Now, I still have the nvidia booting screen, and the nvidia settings tool doesn't seem to show anything wrong, so I'm wondering what I'm meant to do...

Edit: Damn, I was going to change the title to something less sucky but forgot.
