I have a hook that looks for key input (EVENT_KEYCHAR, EVENT_KEYDOWN and EVENT_KEYREPEAT; all for text input), under windows the KEYCHAR event, when a character key is held down, does repeatedly send the event (delayed between each ofcourse). However, under Ubuntu 8.04 (Max 1.30) the KEYCHAR event does not repeat when the key is held down!

Confirmed using Windows Vista and Xubuntu Hardy. On Vista both events repeat, of Hardy, only one.
